DANZIG - "CIRCLE OF SNAKES"

It's been a long time coming, but metal icon and ex-Misfits leader Glenn Danzig has finally dished out a stellar album. Not since the days of his hit tune "Mother" has Danzig sounded so good. Gone is the industrial tone that was "6:66 Satan's Child." Gone, too, is the over-produced and repetitive sound of his last album "777: I Luciferi." "Circle of Snakes" treads new territory with slow, bludgeoning guitar notes. A more sinister, dark and raw- sounding Danzig reigns, harkening back to his Samhain days.
