An East Coast Sense of Glam

Hollywood morphed into the Lower East Side last Thursday, when the New York Dolls blew into town and glammed up the Avalon nightclub. Among the music fans who turned out to hear such classics as "Personality Crisis," "Jet Boy" and "Trash" were Rodney Bingenheimer, rocker Glenn Danzig, and members of the Skulls, the Horribles and Ze Auto Parts.

Original NYD members David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain paid tribute to the band's late bassist Arthur "Killer" Kane, as well as drummers Jerry Nolan, Billy Murcia and guitarist Johnny Thunders. R.I.P. (rock in peace). We also hear the original glamour boys shopped at the Serious store on Melrose before the show, and Johansen sported his new duds on stage.... In Sin City news, Paris the Heiress was spotted Sunday night nuzzling with her latest flame Simon Rex at Body English, a Vegas nightclub run by Hollywood heavy Brent Bolthouse.
