Ad for Danzig/Samhain show Nov. 1st, 1999
Event: DANZIG/Samhain

Date: 11/01/99

Location: The Palladium - Hollywood, CA

We got to the Hollywood Palladium a bit early. Once we got in we checked the merchandise. Make sure you do take some cash for the t-shirts. They have a cool tour t-shirt that has the tribal skull on front and a killer piece by Martin Emond on the back. It's the artwork from the Hollywood Palladium ad pictured above. They are selling the Samhain November Coming Fire t-shirt. They also have the killer Dickies button down shirt that has the original Danzig Skull on the collars and DANZIG on the left breast. They also have a killer t-shirt for the girls. It kinda looks like a baseball jersey. And for your head they have two different Danzig Skull baseball caps.

The first band was a band called the "Newly Deads." I really didn't like this band too much. They kind of reminded me of a gothic version of Guns N' Roses. The next band was "Stryfe." These guys were ok. They are like a hardcore band. They reminded me of a straight edge type band.

Finally it was time to see SAMHAIN. Now that was really cool. They started w/ the "Initium" music and then busted into "Samhain." Todd Youth on guitar w/ a long ass Devilock, Steve Zing on drums, and London May on bass. Glenn was going crazy. Glenn had his Samhain wrist bands on and his old boots. It really looked like a Samhain show. During the middle of the set London May and Steve Zing switched. From there they went into "To Walk The Night" covered in blood. Great set! Todd Youth knows the Samhain songs like if he was playing them for years. They sound great. Once they ended the set there was about a 20 minute break and then came DANZIG

From there DANZIG came out to "Five Finger Crawl." Sounds badass! From there they went right into "7thHouse." Joey C. was pounding the drums as usual. Todd and Lazie were going crazy. They sounded incredible. The new songs from "Danzig6:66" sound awesome! From the new album they played "Lillin," "Five Fingers," "Belly Of The Beast," "Unspeakable," and "Satan's Child." Do not miss this show!

After the show we headed down to Tower Records for the in-store signing. There were about 200 to 300 hundred people there. Tower was only letting like 5 people in at a time so we headed home. We had to get ready for the Las Vegas show. Below I have some pics. I hope you enjoy them!
